Today’s class featured a live Zoom session with Doug Villhard, professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Doug shared the importance of having a strong 30-second pitch and walked students through the key components of effectively selling their business idea.
Students watched sample pitches and had the opportunity to critique them, learning what works—and what doesn’t—when presenting to an audience. Participants were also invited to volunteer their own pitches and receive real-time feedback from Doug.
With hundreds of students on the call, we are especially proud of Johnson County CEO student Iris Mount, who confidently stepped up and delivered her pitch live. What an impressive moment of courage and professionalism!
No photos today—we forgot to grab a screenshot of the Zoom call.
